Founded by Sharon and John Docherty, Alpacas from Eighth and Mud focuses on continuing to improve their herd's Canadian Alpaca bloodlines, while also maintaining the fine fiber, crimp, density and their animals' loving personalities.

Alpacas from Eighth and Mud boasts of a beautiful on-site Farm Store that has their own complete alpaca fiber clothing line, Lori D designs, and a beautiful selection of yarns from fiber that has been raised and spun also all on their land. They have a full range of mini mill equipment to fully process, dye, spin or wet felt their fiber into beautiful pieces.

Never a moment to spare, the Docherty's also host farm tours for families, visiting fiber guilds and even host an annual shearing event where the public can come and learn about the shearing process. They are, very active within the local 4H community and the handling and training of their herd.
