Fashion Takes Action (F.T.A.), founded by Kelly Drennan in 2007 as a Green Gala fundraiser event, launched in 2009 as a members based organization and received it's non-profit status in March 2011.

F.T.A. has worked with more than 300 apparel businesses and entrepreneurs, participated in over 50 events, collaborated with academics and NGOs and received millions of media impressions. They provide support to their growing membership base and continue to raise public awareness of the evolving fashion industry.

They host W.E.A.R. (World Ethical Apparel Roundtable) annually in the Fall,  facilitate "My Clothes My World", an education program that is being delivered to elementary schools in the Greater Toronto Area, as well as host admission events open to the public that spread greater awareness of the challenges the Fashion Industry is currently facing; their most recent event being a screening of the documentary The True Cost at Ryerson University in Toronto, ON.

A means for change and improvement within the Fashion Industry, Fashion Takes Action is leading a charge for ethical, sustainable fashion industry practices.
