When Peggy Sue Collection Inc. was in it's nascent stage of formation, the Halton Region Small Business Centre and their amazing team helped Peggy Sue Deaven-Smiltnieks to lay a strong business foundation for her farm fiber fashion company. She was accepted into their Starter Company Program for young entrepreneurs and upon submission of her company's business proposal received her inititial grant funding.

The Halton Region Small Business Centre is home to many brilliant business and creative minds all eager to help Halton's entrepreneurs every step of the way. Peggy Sue's one-on-one mentor Robert Manning guided her through the process of drafting her first business plan and helped her further research and distill it down to a finalized proposal.

Other mentors and supporters that continue to help Peggy Sue Collection Inc. at the Centre are: Jennifer Rashford, Claudia Nachevski, Sandra Nuhn, and Catharine Frith. The levels of exuberance, optimism and encouragement that our company recieved in it's first formative stages and the continued support of the Halton Region Small Business Centre has helped us to grow and flourish in the local community by building our business in a sustainable fashion at the outset.

If you are an entrepreneur with an idea or a business in need of a boost, the Ontario Small Business Centres are an amazing resource to be able to draw upon. And if you happen to live in the Halton region, then by all means, drop in and meet the amazing team working there. They are helping our local community businesses to thrive.
